ONLINE SESSION TO PROMOTE RESTORATIVE PRACTICE IN ALL SCHOOLS

 

 

·Provide a brief overview of restorative practices and how it can be applied in school settings

·Outline some of the benefits of RP in Schools

·Identify key restorative values

·Inform you of how RP can be adopted in Schools

·Provide an opportunity for those attending, to ask any questions relating to the RP training on the Summer Course in July

BIO: Andy Battell

Andy worked for a number of years as a Training Consultant with both the NHS and Social Services in the London and South-East England areas, devising and delivering training, to staff working with people with learning disabilities, and worked directly with service users themselves.

After moving to Waterford in 1999, Andy managed The Pathways Project for 11 years, with the WSTCYS, providing mentoring supports and Progression Programmes to Early School Leavers. He also managed the School Completion Programme (SCP) Na Siúire, in Waterford City and South Kilkenny, for 7 years.

In 2011, Andy became a Certified Trainer, with the IIRP and in 2016, a Certified Trainer of Trainers.

Andy joined the Childhood Development Initiative in 2017, as a Quality Specialist and has facilitated all CDI’s training, and training of trainers’ courses, both face-to-face and online - across schools in Munster.
