This taster webinar will guide primary school teachers in developing a deeper understanding of stress and anxiety in children, including common causes, signs, and how these may present in the school setting. It explores the impact of stress and anxiety on pupils’ wellbeing, learning, behaviour, and engagement in the classroom. The webinar also outlines practical, age-appropriate strategies that teachers can use to support pupils experiencing stress or anxiety, with a focus on creating supportive and emotionally safe learning environments. In addition, participants will be directed to a range of relevant resources and supports that can be accessed within schools to further support children’s mental health and wellbeing.
