Tools for Supporting Mental Wellbeing in Teens- aimed at secondary level but would cover 6th class teens
With the growing pressure of 24/7 technology based social interactions the wellbeing of our teens incoming under pressure. This course gives you practical tips to help teens develop good mental habits to be resilient in the face of the relentless pressure of media, technology and a fast changing world. Integrate positive physiology tools into your classroom to equip the teens with simple effective resilience skills. Help move their thinking from moving from negative to positive, to value themselves and others, deal effectively with negative emotions and understand their own brain and the importance of self-awareness. The skills we really need to build healthy relationships, and good self-esteem.
I used to teach computer science, now I focus on mental health and wellbeing because teens need balance!
This course will cover the following:
Reframing for positivity, outcome focus, core values for decision making and motivation, positive affirmations to change neural pathways in the brain, building positive intentions, how the teenage bring works, neurological levels of communication, managing criticism and negative self-talk and more.
