Webinar: Unleashing the potential of Maths Eyes - case studies of Maths Eyes in action
Problem-solving skills are an integral part of resilience and the ability to persevere through challenges and adversity. To effectively work through and solve a problem, students must be able to think critically and creatively.
Critical and creative thinking help students approach a problem objectively and to determine different ways to go about finding a solution. This process in turn helps students build self-efficacy. When students are able to analyze and solve a problem, this increases their confidence and impacts their disposition towards mathematics.
This session will explore in detail the impact of a Maths Eyes initiative in a primary school. It will also explore the impact of Maths Eyes in other settings including Marino Institute of Education teacher training college, St. Mura's NS, Waterford Education Support Centre and a Gaelscoil.
